While most of our singers come to Bella Voce (Italian for "Beautiful Voice") through our choir program, we welcome new singers who have experience singing in choirs and/or private voice lessons. An audition is required.

 

Skills reinforced:

• multiple part singing with full tone

• sight reading

• rhythm patterns and melodies

• musical terminology and theory

• performance skills

 

Performances:

• Performing with all NCYC choirs in December and May

• Outside performance experiences such as holiday caroling in public venues

• Community choral performances with groups such as Folsom Lake Symphony

• Annual Bella Voce concert with new repertoire

Training and touring:

• Fall weekend retreat in Nevada City, CA

• Training in a variety of styles, genres, and levels of difficulty

• Opportunities to audition for Honor Choirs

• National and international touring opportunities - past tours include Carnegie Hall in New York City, Wales and England, Austria, and Prague​​
